C. Bruce Hasenauer, DDS and Corey B. Hasenauer, DDS
In 1998 Dr. Bruce Hasenauer received a phone call from a retirement community--would he provide on-site dental services? His love of people moved him and the challenge of it all motivated him. Soon Dr. Bruce was serving several communities in the evenings and on weekends. By the time his son, Dr. Corey, graduated from dental school, Dr. Bruce was semi-retired and teaching in California. But, Dr. Corey was motivated by his own love for seniors, due to a special relationship he shared with his grandparents. He picked up where Dr. Bruce left off and he created Cottage Care Mobile Dentistry.
Dr. Corey's journey began with equipment that could fit in his car. As the needs grew, so did the breadth of services and the vehicle! Soon the equipment was housed in a van and then a trailer and finally a delivery truck. Dr. Bruce was called out of his teaching career and back to Denver.
His return sparked the vision for a self-contained clinic on wheels. A Los Angeles transit bus was purchased and converted to a full-service, state-of-the-art dental clinic. At the beginning of 2008 a second clinic was revealed and plans for the third are already in motion.
Bruce Hasenauer, D.D.S. is a graduate of Loma Linda University. He practiced in Denver for almost 25 years before moving back to Loma Linda--this time as a professor. While in private practice, Dr. Bruce co-founded Hampden Dental College, a training program for dental assistants. Presently, he provides on-going oral health training for the Alzheimer's Association. He also serves as the Board Chairman of The Healing Place, a downtown program designed to bring healing to the homeless. Dr. Bruce and his wife, Sheryl, also have two grown daughters, two handsome sons-in-law and a delightful grandson, Zane. Dr. Bruce enjoys the Beatles, movies and sculpting.
Corey Hasenauer, D.D.S. graduated from the University of Nebraska Dental College in 2000. Since then his time has been devoted to finding solutions to senior dental challenges. In 2008, Dr. Corey became a graduate of the Pacific Implant Institute in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Corey and his wife, Kylie, love the mountains and are avid hikers. They also enjoy biking, movies and books of all kinds.
